Lancashire Documentary Family Photography
Being a parent I understand how hard it must be when your children grow up and move away from home. Spread their wings and flee the nest, so to speak. I can imagine it must be almost bittersweet as you want them to succeed in life and build their own families but the ache of missing them must be really hard. With that said I am so honoured to be in a position to document reunions of families when they all come flocking back to their nest, with the next generations in tow.
This is exactly what happened on this occasion with the Wright Family as I was invited to hang out at Mum and Dads house in Freckleton, Lancashire when all of their 3 children, partners and grandchildren were to be together for the first time in a long time!
Documentary Family Photography
My family shoots are always very relaxed and there is always very little posing. I let them hang out, have fun and be a family. Then I tell this story with my cameras. This is exactly what I did here with this wonderful family. They hung out, played, coloured, laughed, ate, climbed, cuddled, cried and enjoyed being together and I documented this treasured time for them.
