Ribby Hall Village Micro Wedding

Steve and Amy’s micro-wedding at Ribby Hall was the perfect example of how full day coverage is still so essential even for a small, intimate wedding. Having chosen the fabulous Ribby Hall Village in Lancashire for their perfect wedding, Steve and Amy chose me to document their day for them.

Micro-wedding’s tend to be a wedding with guest numbers lower than 20 and that is exactly what Steve and Amy had opted for. They had carefully selected 11 of their closest people to witness their wonderful wedding day.

I’ve photographed many smaller weddings in my 16+ years of photographing weddings and more often than not couples that choose to have a micro-wedding tend to go for shorter coverage on the day. With Steve and Amy’s wedding however this was not the case and I absolutely loved it! It was such an honour for them to have me with them from preparations all the way through until their first dance. They really made me feel like one of the family.

Wedding Photography at Ribby Hall Village

I’ve been lucky enough to photograph so many incredible weddings at Ribby Hall over the years. Steve and Amy’s was much different. Not only a smaller, more intimate affair but they had also opted for 2 ceremonies. The first, a traditional ceremony to complete the legal duties and the second a tie-the-knott ceremony which required all of their guests to participate and be included.

Following their ceremonies the 3 of us took a drive in the legendary Ribby Rolls Royce to make some portraits of the newlyweds as sun began to fade.

Their wedding breakfast felt like a family meal, which must have been so lovely for them. The speeches brought a welcomed mix of emotions which were a pleasure to photograph before finishing my day with them as they took their first dance as husband and wife.

If you are planning a wedding at Ribby Hall then I’d love to hear from you!
