Looe, Cornwall Wedding Photography
I arrived in the beautiful seaside resort of Looe in Cornwall for Andy & Emma’s Wedding on a gorgeous summers day, ready and raring for their wedding the following day! This was my first visit to Looe and I instantly fell in love with it. Living by the coast all my life has given me a great fondness of life by the sea and Looe did feel like a home-away-from-home from the moment I arrived.
Andy & Emma are two of the loveliest humans and having the opportunity to photograph their wedding in Cornwall was such an honour. I knew from our video chats in the lead up to the big day that this wedding was going to be so chilled and relaxed and I was so excited to document it for them.
Wedding Ceremony in Looe
It was an early start for me on the day of the wedding with my first visit to hang out with Andy and capture some photos of him getting ready. I then made my way to Downderry to meet Emma and her family to capture some photos of her getting ready.
Andy & Emma were married in the stunning Guildhall in Looe. We navigated our way through the tourists in time for their ceremony.
Wedding Reception in Downderry
For their wedding reception Andy & Emma had chosen to have a garden party at Andy’s family home in Downderry. They had erected a marquee in the back garden and we were blessed with incredible views of the English Channel. The day was filled with garden games, live music from a local sea shantie band - The Derryairs, fabulous food, lots of sun and even more happy faces!
Wedding Portraits in Looe
In the evening I suggested that the newlyweds accompany me back along the coast to Looe where we could create some beautiful portraits for them in the idyllic evening light. We strolled along the water, felt the sand between our toes and captured some gorgeous portraits for the 2 of them.
I wish I would have had longer in this beautiful part of the world, after what turned out to be a whirlwind visit. I will definitely be back to Looe one day, that’s for sure!
If you are planning a Wedding in Cornwall then I’d love to hear from you!
