WINTER WEDDING AT BARTLE HALL
Chris and Lyndsey’s Bartle Hall wedding was the first of 4 back to back weddings I shot between Christmas and New Year. What a way to start a wedding marathon it was.
The lead-up to the wedding day had seen the North West covered with rain and wind for weeks so I wasn’t optimistic for the weather on the day. Crazy things happen though and the 4 days I shot in between Christmas and New Year were riddled with sunshine. I’ll take a bit of wedding sun any day of the week.
My day started out with the Chris and his groomsmen before heading to Bartle Hall to meet up with Lyndsey and the rest of the Bridal Party. Lyndsey had the awesome Emma Coppock from Wedding Belles on make-up duty and the crazy-talented Flower Design creating some floral magic. For me, preps are such a great way for everyone to get used to me being around. I love becoming integrated into the inner circles so that I can capture some really cool and intimate moments for my couples.
The day itself was so much fun, from the ceremony all the way to the evening reception, the day was filled with fun, laughter, love and some serious dancing. Chris and Lyndsey are so easy to be around. I do very little posing on the wedding day as I don’t want to stop and start the day. As Chris and Lyndsey had a pre-wedding shoot with me earlier in the year I believe this definitely helped them feel more comfortable and relaxed in front of the camera. We managed to get out into the gardens at Barrtle Hall for some portraits before the winter sunset and led us into the night.
The guests were kept entertained by the insanely talented Matt Johnson during and after the wedding breakfast. After Chris and Lyndsey’s first dance as husband and wife, the craziness began with the dancefloor filled and shirts being thrown.
Bartle Hall is one of my favourite North West venues to shoot at. I can’t thank Chris and Lyndsey enough for having me along to capture their winter wedding at Bartle Hall.
