GRANT AND KRISTINA’S DESTINATION WEDDING – ZANTE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

Earlier this year I had the pleasure of being flown out to the Greek island of Zante to photograph Grant and Kristina’s wedding. This so-called job of mine can be challenging at times. There’s long, unsociable hours and many of them sat staring at a computer. Saying that I can’t think of many jobs quite like it. It was sat on a boat in bright blue waters of the Mediterranean, just off the coast of Zante I came to the conclusion that my job actually is the best one I could wish for.

I spent three days in Zante for Grant and Kristina’s destination wedding. The day before the big day I was invited to join them on a boat trip. I politely accepted their invitation and took along my cameras.

On the day of the Zante wedding I met up with the groomsmen at their hotel (and waterpark) – Aqua Bay in the lovely little town of Tsilivi. Needless to say we had a good laugh with a bit of footy down at the beach before the boys hit a few of the water slides. It was a tad more chilled for Kristina and her bridesmaids. Plenty of pampering and bubbles before heading off on the short drive to their idyllic venue. Their ceremony and evening reception was held at the magnificant Porto Azzuro Beach Bar Restaurant which is located near the small town of Vasilikos, in the southeast of Zakynthos.

After a gorgeous wedding ceremony on the beach Grant, Kristina and their guests devoured delicious food, threw back plenty of alcohol and danced into the early hours. I had such an amazing couple of days with these guys. I cannot thank them enough for having me along to capture it for them. It was humbling being welcomed in by everybody and meeting some wonderful people. Grant and Kristina are so lucky to have such fantastic friends and family that made the journey with them.

It’s hard to put into words just how much fun I had at Grant and Kristina’s Zante wedding. I’m hoping that the photo’s that follow will do all of the talking for me.

RICK AND BECKY’S LAKE DISTRICT WEDDING AT WILD BOAR IN WINDERMERE

I was well happy to be back at the gorgeous Wild Boar in Windermere earlier this year for Rick and Becky’s wedding. Set in some beautiful surroundings the Wild Boar in Windermere has everything you could possibly want from a wedding venue. The venue itself is cosy and stylish and boasts not only quality ale but has its own smokehouse which produces some ridiculously good meat!

WILD BOAR WEDDING

My day started out following the boys down to a nearby lake for a little dip. I didn’t personally brave the water myself but it certainly looked like the boys had fun and it definitely cleared off any hangovers from the night before. The girls had a slightly more relaxed morning of pampering.

After a beautiful ceremony, the bar got busy and the celebrations continued. In true Cumbrian fashion, the rain threatened a couple of times but nothing that would put a dampener on the day.

After a journey off in the jeep with Rick and Becky for some evening portraits, the night got fully underway with music from the impressive Keytars.

Rick and Becky’s Wild Boar wedding was everything and more than a wedding should be. Thank you for letting me be a part of it

Paphos Destination Wedding Photography – Mike and Karen

PAPHOS WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

It was an absolute pleasure to be back in Cyprus recently to shoot the wedding of Mike and Karen. It was my first time in Paphos, having previously shot weddings in Limassol, and I absolutely loved the place. I have been lucky enough to have captured two other Cyprus weddings over the past few years so it was awesome to be back in such a wonderful country.

Mike and Karen’s Paphos wedding had everything (and more) I have come to expect from a destination wedding. It had a gorgeous venue, wonderfully tasty food, insane light and most of all crazy-lovely people.

Mike and Karen were married at the stunning Alexander The Great Hotel. I spent the day with them, starting with the boys in the morning. We spent a little bit of time over in a local bar, playing pool and sampling the local beer. After the boys were ready I headed to meet the girls in their room for some pampering, laughter and plenty of bubbly.

Their ceremony took place on the Unity Terrace which offered gorgeous sea views. In between the drinking and celebrating I was able to steal Mike and Karen for a few portraits before they sat down to enjoy an extremely impressive wedding breakfast. As the day was drawing to an end we were treated to a blast of my favourite kind of light so we nipped down to the beach for some portraits on a rock jetti. One of which was the image at the top of this blog, which I was made up to have won a Wedisson Award for just a few weeks ago.

DESTINATION WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

I love shooting weddings abroad and getting to be Mike and Karen’s Paphos wedding photographer was a so much fun. Destination weddings don’t only allow me to visit new places but let me explore the culture of weddings in other countries.

I cannot thank Mike and Karen enough for flying me out to such a beautiful part of the world and giving me the freedom to tell the story of their wonderful wedding.

The beautiful pair that is Andrew and Hannah got married at one of the North West’s finest Ribble Valley wedding venues recently. Andrew and Hannah’s Browsholme Hall wedding was all sorts of fun. As per usual the hall was dressed to perfection and looked simply stunning. It’s always a pleasure working at Browsholme Hall and this wedding was no let-up.

The boys started the day with a bit of a kick about before getting ready and heading to the venue. The girls drank, laughed and got pampered before heading over to the Tithe Barn for the ceremony.

This was a gorgeous wedding in the heart of the Ribble Valley and was a pleasure to be there amongst some wonderful people.

Alex and Steph were married recently at one of my favourite North West wedding venues, Browsholme Hall. This gorgeous venue is situated in the heart of the Ribble Valley in Lancashire. Surrounded by insanely stunning scenery it has everything you might possibly want from a venue. Especially from a photographers perspective

I had been looking forward to this wedding for some time. Alex and Steph are a super lovely, super smiley couple who are just a joy to be around. Their Browsholme Hall wedding was a pleasure to shoot and I genuinely loved being a part of their wedding day.

After catching up with the groom and his groomsmen at a local hotel I headed into the depths of the Ribble Valley to the picturesque Browsholme Hall to capture the bridal preps. The girls were full of smiles and in great spirits as they got themselves ready for the day ahead. The ceremony in the Tithe Barn was simply stunning and the character of the old building added to such a romantic setting. Alex, Steph and their guests enjoyed delicious food from food-legends With a Twist and continued to drink, dance and laugh the night away.

Thank you for having me along as your Browsholme Hall Wedding Photographer. Here’s my highlights

RYAN AND LAUREN’S WEDDING AT THE VILLA WREA GREEN

I recently enjoyed a trip back to The Villa Wrea Green to photograph the wedding of Ryan and Lauren. Their summer wedding, at one of the Fylde Coast’s premium wedding venues, was such a fun, beautiful and enjoyable wedding to be a part of. I knew from first meeting Ryan and Lauren that their wedding would be a cracker. After meeting up with them for their pre-wedding shoot at Stonyhurst College this was confirmed as we all got on so well. You can have a look at their pre-wedding photos from the Great British Food Festival here.

The Villa is situated in the stunning village of Wrea Green in Lancashire. I have had the pleasure of shooting weddings their on numerous occasions and each one was brilliant in it’s own right. Ryan and Lauren’s was no exception. These two made my day with them so enjoyable and I loved every second of their wedding day.

Lauren looked simply stunning, as did her bridesmaids. Ryan and the groomsmen looked sharp as you like rocking kilts. Their wedding day at The Villa was filled with laughter, music, dancing, beer pong and lots of shots!

Thank you for having me along to capture these memories for you Ryan and Lauren.

Rick & Lizzie - Eaves Hall Wedding Photography

Back in December I spent the day with Rick and Lizzie capturing their Eaves Hall winter wedding. I absolutely love these two! I knew that their wedding day was going to be amazing ever since we first met. Getting to know them over the past year or so has been brilliant. We got to know each other a little better when we met up last year fortheir pre-wedding shoot at Beacon Fell. I could not wait to be back at Eaves Hall, one of my all time favourite venues. Eaves Hall is situated near Clitheroe in Lancashire’s Ribble Valley. It has everything you would want in a wedding venue, beautiful grounds, breathtaking views, exclusivity and insanely good food!

I set out early to meet up with Rick and the groomsmen at The Higher Buck, a wonderful country pub in the picturesque village of Waddington. From there I head over to meet the Lizzie and her bridesmaids at Eaves Hall’s Lodge. It was another beautiful winters day in the ribble valley.

Rick and Lizzie had rounded up a dream team of wedding suppliers to help them with their day. Lizzie had theinsanely talented Flossy & Leigh on make-up duty and my good friends Flower Design had created some floral magic for them. I had the pleasure of working alongside the very talented James Wray of James Wray Weddings for the day. You can view his crazy good trailer of their wedding here – Eaves Hall Wedding Video.

The day was a happy, yet emotional one and was filled with so many beautiful moments. I always aim to give my couples a set of images that are a true reflection of their wedding day. Below are some of my favourite wedding photos from their truly gorgeous wedding at Eaves Hall.

Bartle Hall Wedding Photography – Chris & Lyndsey

WINTER WEDDING AT BARTLE HALL

Chris and Lyndsey’s Bartle Hall wedding was the first of 4 back to back weddings I shot between Christmas and New Year. What a way to start a wedding marathon it was.

The lead-up to the wedding day had seen the North West covered with rain and wind for weeks so I wasn’t optimistic for the weather on the day. Crazy things happen though and the 4 days I shot in between Christmas and New Year were riddled with sunshine.  I’ll take a bit of wedding sun any day of the week.

My day started out with the Chris and his groomsmen before heading to Bartle Hall to meet up with Lyndsey and the rest of the Bridal Party. Lyndsey had the awesome Emma Coppock from Wedding Belles on make-up duty and the crazy-talented Flower Design creating some floral magic. For me, preps are such a great way for everyone to get used to me being around. I love becoming integrated into the inner circles so that I can capture some really cool and intimate moments for my couples.

The day itself was so much fun, from the ceremony all the way to the evening reception, the day was filled with fun, laughter, love and some serious dancing. Chris and Lyndsey are so easy to be around. I do very little posing on the wedding day as I don’t want to stop and start the day. As Chris and Lyndsey had a pre-wedding shoot with me earlier in the year I believe this definitely helped them feel more comfortable and relaxed in front of the camera. We managed to get out into the gardens at Barrtle Hall for some portraits before the winter sunset and led us into the night.

The guests were kept entertained by the insanely talented Matt Johnson during and after the wedding breakfast. After Chris and Lyndsey’s first dance as husband and wife, the craziness began with the dancefloor filled and shirts being thrown.

Bartle Hall is one of my favourite North West venues to shoot at. I can’t thank Chris and Lyndsey enough for having me along to capture their winter wedding at Bartle Hall.
