I was recently back at one of the North Wests top wedding venues, Bartle Hall, documenting the wedding of Adam and Sarah. They are such a beautiful, happy couple and along with their two awesome little dudes make a wonderfully lovely and happy family. They are all about fun and smiles and that showed throughout the day. Even when Sarah decked it late on in the day caking her dress she laughed and rocked it.

Their Bartle Hall wedding was filled with fun, laughter, Jägerbombs, mud and kids being kids. I had so much fun with them and it was such a pleasure to be back at Bartle Hall. There were so many fantastic moments throughout the day and I have picked some of my favourites below. As usual there was very minimal posing from me and I just let the day run it’s course, this allowed for much more fun and unpredictability.

ANTHONY AND CARLA’S LAKE DISTRICT WEDDING AT STORRS HALL, WINDERMERE

This was my debut visit to the magnificent Storrs Hall in Windermere. Storrs is situated on the shores of Lake Windermere in the stunning English Lake District. The venue itself is a quite fabulous and grand old country house that overlooks Lake Windermere and has simply breathtaking views of this stunning part of Cumbria.

Carla and Anthony’s Storrs Hall wedding was so much fun, from start to finish. They certainly picked a rock star cast of wedding professionals for their wonderful summer wedding on the lake. It was awesome catching up with and working alongside some fantastic suppliers for this wedding including video skills by Adam Wing, music and entertainment by the crazy talented Jennie Sawdon and The Rush. Not forgetting some ridiculous cake skills by Kelly-dee Towriess of Pink Frosting Cake Company.

LAKE DISTRICT WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

After hanging out with Anthony and his groomsmen and Carla and her Bridesmaids we headed to the stunning Catholic Church of Amabilis in Ambleside for their ceremony. Anthony, Carla and their wedding party then headed back to Storrs Hall to begin the celebrations. A Lake District wedding wouldn’t be complete without a brief trip out on the lake.

Overall this was such an amazing wedding. Anthony and Carla are such a lovely, happy couple who were a pleasure to be around. It was an honour to capture their day for them.

MATT AND LAUREN’S FARM PRE-WEDDING SHOOT IN LANCASHIRE

It was lovely catching up with Matt and Lauren recently for their pre-wedding shoot. We had a wander around Matt’s farm, strolled through some fields and made some cool portraits.

Pre-wedding shoots are always more fun when the location means something to the couple. Matt and Lauren’s farm pre-wedding shoot was so personal and they were both so relaxed in front of camera.

Here’s some of my favourites from their engagement session in Lancashire.

The Deans - Family Documentary Photography

A few weeks ago I spent some time with the Dean’s for their Family Portrait Session. I have had the pleasure of making memories for them on a couple of occasions. This time it was to celebrate their latest arrival. We hung out at their family home where I became a part of their life for a little while.

There were games, trampolining, power rangers on TV, a very shy dog, lots of giggles and some new born baby cuddles. For that hour or I spent with them I was able to capture a true sense of what this time of their lives was really like.

Here’s a few of my favourite photos from their Lifestyle Portrait Session

James & Michaela - Pre-Wedding Photography

These two lovelies rocked Stanley Park recently showing just how much love two humans can have for each other. I genuinely loved shooting James and Michaela, not only are they gorgeous but they were playful, laughed non stop and were just a pleasure to be around.

I love portrait sessions in Autumn. The colours are magnificent and the light can be second to none. Stanley Park is a gorgeous mass of trees and shrubbery mixed with some cool buildings and hidden gems. To sum up Stanley Park in Autumn with these two beauties just works. Full stop.

Chris & Emma - Post-Wedding Portraits at St Annes Beach

Emma and Chris got in touch with me recently to arrange some portraits to celebrate their one year wedding anniversary. It was the first time I had met them both and got on with them instantly. They were a pleasure to be around and obviously totally in love.

We started near their home in St. Annes before hitting the beach and sand dunes as the sun started to set. The light was incredible as were my subjects and I had so much fun with them both capturing some awesome beach portraits for their one year anniversary.

Ben & Jenny - Lancashire Marquee Wedding Photography

Ben and Jenny tied the knot recently at the stunning St. Lawrence church in Barton, Lancashire before continuing the epic celebrations on Jenny’s family farm just down the road.

Marquee wedding’s are awesome. End of. Ben and Jenny had planned their wedding for a sunny day, with two substantial marquees, footy nets and a fairground ride. Of course the unpredictable British weather stepped in and threw us some rain just as everyone was arriving for the reception. Typical. Not that it mattered, Ben and Jenny were incredible and didn’t once complain about the weather. Instead they did what every Bride and Groom should do and not let the weather dictate their day. They smiled, they laughed, they drank, they danced and they did manage to get out and ride the fairground ride!

My day started out early doors on the farm as Father of the Bride was finishing his morning rounds with his cows. From there I made visits to the groom and his groomsmen and the bride and her bridesmaids respectively. After a beautiful and emotional ceremony Ben and Jenny set off to the farm for their reception on a spectacular old tractor and trailer. The rain didn’t dampen any spirits and with the help of the ridiculously talented Singing Waitersand host for the day Rob Falcon the guests were kept thoroughly entertained.

Overall this marquee wedding was so much fun to be a part of. Everything about it rocked from the stunning surroundings, the superb entertainment and most of all the gorgeous, fun and crazy lovely Bride and Groom.
