Rossall School Wedding Photography - James and Ella
James and Ella’s Wedding at Rossall School in Lancashire
James and Ella are childhood sweethearts. They met at Rossall School in Lancashire when they were both pupils there. So it seemed, many years later when James had ‘popped the question’, that there was only one place they had their hearts set on having their wedding day!
Rossall School is situated on the Fylde coast, just outside Blackpool. It is set on a historic 160 acre campus looking out over the picturesque Lancashire coastline.
James and Ella spent their mornings getting ready for the day ahead, separately, at their parents homes. Once ready Ella head to the grounds of Rossall School, in style to meet her husband-to-be. They were married in the church on site at Rossall before carrying on the celebrations in a marquee in the grounds.
There were some fantastic suppliers on hand to make their wedding day a memorable one. The catering was taken care of by the fantastic Twelve Event Management. Wowing the guests during the day with his close-up magic skills was Darren Robinson. On video duty was the legendary Adam Wing and keeping the guests dancing the night away were the fantastic Funtime Frankies.
Lancashire Marquee Wedding - James and Holly
James and Holly’s Marquee Wedding in Lancashire
The sun was certainly shining for James and Holly’s marquee wedding. I arrived with James and his groomsmen, at his parents house in Tarleton, early in the morning. After a substantial breakfast the boys took to the garden for a kick-about and a bit of cricket before heading back inside to make the transformation to Groom and Groomsmen.
A short drive away Holly and her bridesmaids were in the full swing of make-up, hair and practicing their dance routine for the coming evening!
Once ready Holly set off to meet her husband-to-be at St. Michael and All Angels Church in Croston for their wedding ceremony. After a beautiful church ceremony their guests lined the path leading to the church, armed with handfuls of confetti, ready to shower the newlyweds.
The wedding reception was in a marquee back at James’ parents home. Slowly but surely the wedding guests arrived and welcomed the new Mr and Mrs as they entered the grounds to cheers, hugs and high fives.
The rest of the day was filled with lots of amazing food, plenty of booze and serious amounts of laughter and dancing.
Northumberland Wedding Photography - Mark and Emma
Mark and Emma's Church and Tipi Wedding in Northumberland
I had been looking forward to Mark and Emma's wedding in Northumberland since they booked me to be their wedding photographer. Firstly I had never had the pleasure of visiting this beautiful part of our country and secondly I knew just what Mark and Emma had planned for their big day.
On the morning of the wedding I arrived at the Tipi in Warkworth to meet up with Mark, who was busy putting the finishing touches to the decor with the help of his groomsmen and some other friends and family. I arrived to torrential rain and thought we were in for a wet one! Luck was on our side and the shower passed quickly.
After leaving Mark I set off to meet up with Emma and her Bridesmaids in the quaint little town of Amble, right on the Northumberland coast. Emma and her girls were in good spirits, ready for the day ahead.
A short drive from Amble and I arrived at St. Pauls Church in Alnwick ready for what was to be a beautiful church ceremony. Once Mark and Emma had managed to free themselves from their guests we made the drive back to Warkworth. Before their arrival at the tipi we nipped off for a quick 10 minutes to Warkworth Hermitage to give the newlyweds a bit of time to themselves.
Tipi Wedding Photography
Tipi weddings are always so much fun and this one was no let up. Over the next few hours Mark, Emma and their guests enjoyed lots of drinking, dancing, food and some brilliant speeches. Once the speeches were done and dusted we nipped off to do a little bit of exploring around Warkworth.
The incredible Vibetown were on duty keeping the dancefloor rocking at night and the legend Adam Wing kept me company for the day creating video magic.
Marquee Wedding Photography - Gemma and Michael
Gemma and Michael's Church and Marquee Wedding in Lancashire
I first visited the site for Gemma and Michael's marquee wedding when I met them for their pre-wedding shoot a few months before the big day. As soon as I saw the views and heard the plans for their wedding I knew it was going to be awesome.
Michael and Gemma were married at the stunning St. Annes church in Rossendale before heading off to Gemma's family home in Bacup, where their Marquee Wedding Reception awaited them. Gemma's family own and run a Yorkstone quarry so it seemed fitting to have their wedding at home, with their marquee sat perfectly overlooking the stunning Pennines. Mark Jackson and his team at Passion 4 Events had done such an insanely good job decorating the marquee and making the day run smoothly.
It was a non stop day of shooting for me with plenty of going on. After photographing Michael and his groomsmen early on I head to meet up with Gemma, her family and her bridesmaids where the lovely Makeup by Frankie was getting the girls ready for the day ahead.
After a last minute dash to get Gemma ready in time, and me nearly getting lost on the way to the Church, we arrived at St. Annes Church where Michael and their guests were waiting her arrival. As a surprise for the lovely Bride and Groom Gemma's Dad had arranged an extravagant arrival for them to the Marquee. Unfortunately there was no room for me in the chopper but I raced back to the marquee to witness the reception in full swing.
The rest of the day was filled so much emotion and laughter. There was a Fresh Prince of Bel-Air rapped speech, burger vans and insanely good Pizza, crazy dancing and music and fireworks to round off with. Needless to say it was a very good day!
Ben & Jenny - Lancashire Marquee Wedding Photography
Ben and Jenny tied the knot recently at the stunning St. Lawrence church in Barton, Lancashire before continuing the epic celebrations on Jenny’s family farm just down the road.
Marquee wedding’s are awesome. End of. Ben and Jenny had planned their wedding for a sunny day, with two substantial marquees, footy nets and a fairground ride. Of course the unpredictable British weather stepped in and threw us some rain just as everyone was arriving for the reception. Typical. Not that it mattered, Ben and Jenny were incredible and didn’t once complain about the weather. Instead they did what every Bride and Groom should do and not let the weather dictate their day. They smiled, they laughed, they drank, they danced and they did manage to get out and ride the fairground ride!
My day started out early doors on the farm as Father of the Bride was finishing his morning rounds with his cows. From there I made visits to the groom and his groomsmen and the bride and her bridesmaids respectively. After a beautiful and emotional ceremony Ben and Jenny set off to the farm for their reception on a spectacular old tractor and trailer. The rain didn’t dampen any spirits and with the help of the ridiculously talented Singing Waitersand host for the day Rob Falcon the guests were kept thoroughly entertained.
Overall this marquee wedding was so much fun to be a part of. Everything about it rocked from the stunning surroundings, the superb entertainment and most of all the gorgeous, fun and crazy lovely Bride and Groom.
