MATT AND LAUREN'S EAVES HALL WEDDING

Eaves Hall is such a stunning wedding venue, nestled into the beautiful Lancashire countryside of the Ribble Valley.

The lovely Matt and Lauren were lucky enough to have the Autumnal gods looking out for them on their wedding day and blessed them with a perfect crisp, clear Autumn day filled with plenty of colour.

Matt and his family run a dairy farm in Lancashire so it was only fitting I went and met him on the farm early on the wedding morning. He was finishing off his morning jobs when I met up with him. After I left Matt I head to meet Lauren and her Bridesmaids at Eaves Hall. The wonderful Sonara Parker was on make-up duties for the morning. Once I'd heard Matt had arrived in the local village just down the road from Eaves Hall I nipped off to meet him and his Groomsmen in the Waddington Arms.

ST HELENS CHURCH IN WADDINGTON

Matt and Lauren were married at the gorgeous St. Helens Church in Waddington, just a few minutes drive from Eaves Hall. Once the legalities were complete and serious amounts of confetti had been thrown the guests made their way to Eaves Hall for drinks. Matt, Lauren and I nipped off for a quiet 10 minutes to get a few portraits in the bag.

I've been lucky enough to shoot a few farmers weddings now and each time I have such a good time. Matt and Lauren's was no let up, filled with drinking, dancing and a plastic cow! Mix all that with some of my favourite ever Autumn wedding portraits and you have one hell of a wedding!

Here's just a few of my favourite photos from their Eaves Hall wedding...

Thornton Manor Wedding – James and Michaela

JAMES AND MICHAELA’S WEDDING AT THORNTON MANOR

James and Michaela are not only a ridiculously beautiful couple but they were an absolute pleasure to spend the day with at their Thornton Manor wedding. They chose the stunning Lakeside Marquee for their ceremony and wedding reception.

My day started, as usual, with the boys. James and his groomsmen were kicking back at a local hotel and were in great spirits. Some Fifa, beer, footy and banter followed before I head over to meet up with Michaela and her Bridesmaids. The laughter and drinking continued before heading to the Lakeside Marquee at Thornton Manor for their ceremony.

After a beautiful ceremony the guests were kept entertained by the magic genius Sean Heydon and the very talented singer Sam Harrison. Alcohol flowed and the speeches went down a treat as the day continued to get better and better. It was lovely catching up with my past Bride and Groom Matt and Areej too, who had also recommended me for this wedding.

An overall amazing day with amazing people and I’m made up with the memories I have captured for them.

LAKE DISTRICT WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY – LEIGH AND GEMMA’S WEDDING AT NEW HOUSE FARM

I love the Lake District! I’m so lucky to live so close to this beautiful part of England and even luckier to get to visit it fairly regularly to be a part of so many amazing weddings.

Leigh and Gemma are two of the most easy going people I have ever met. Gemma’s constant warming smile and Leigh’s laid-back persona made them an absolute pleasure to be around. They chose the stunning New House Farm in the Lorton Valley for the place they would marry each other. It was my first time at this venue and what a beautifully stunning wedding venue it is!

NEW HOUSE FARM, LORTON VALLEY – CREATIVE DOCUMENTARY WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

Situated in the north-west of the Lake District, New House Farm is filled with character and history and is a wonderful place to tie the knot. Log fires, original features, stunning scenery and the hayloft of an old converted barn are just some of what this venue has going for it.

Gemma and Leigh’s New House Farm wedding was so much fun. The rainy weather didn’t stop us getting out and enjoying some of the fifteen acres on offer. Their wedding was packed with fun, laughter, plenty of dancing and one of the best Father of the Bride speeches I’m yet to witness! It was lovely catching up with the extremely talented Chris Cook magician who was let loose to keep the guests entertained. The day’s entertainment didn’t stop there though with musical legends Hipster keeping the guests dancing the day and night away.

This Lake District wedding was a pleasure to be a part of. Grab a coffee and enjoy my highlight’s of Leigh and Gemma’s wedding…

Andy and Rebecca said I do at one of Lancashire’s finest venues, The Great Hall at Mains. Their Great Hall wedding had everything from crazy-good dancing to some of the best speeches I’ve had the pleasure of hearing.

It was such a pleasure capturing Andy and Rebecca’s wedding. They give off such warm vibes and I cannot be happier with the moments and memories I have captured for them.

Lancashire Family Portrait Session - Ribby Hall Village

LANCASHIRE FAMILY PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHER

FAMILY PORTRAITS AT RIBBY HALL VILLAGE, LANCASHIRE

Over the Easter Holidays I met up with the Haynes, Garner and Jobe families at Ribby Hall Village in Wrea Green, Lancashire to capture some documentary family portraits. They were visiting our lovely county to spend a bit of time all together as a family and to help celebrate a special birthday. They had hired out the stunning Coach House at Ribby Hall Village and they got in touch with me to come along and capture some memories for them.

The day was fairly cold and slightly on the wet side but after I’d arrived and introductions were made we set out for a trek through the woods. Along the way we stopped off for a bit of a play on the park and the grown ups showed the kids exactly how it’s done. Yes it was muddy. Yes it was wet. Yes it was a bit windy. But it was so much fun seeing this family together laughing, playing and spending some valuable time together.

FAMILY PORTRAIT SESSION

My family portrait sessions are designed to capture families being themselves. I love getting to know new families and to see firsthand the love and laughter that being all together brings.

This bunch were such a pleasure to shoot. They didn’t once complain about the mud and we didn’t stop smiling the whole time. They are such a lovely family and I’m so chuffed I have captured such precious memories for them.

Here’s a few of my favourite photos from their session…

I caught up with David and Emma recently, ahead of their wedding, in the picturesque village of Downham in Lancashire. After a catch-up we headed off around one of Lancashire’s most stunning little villages for their Downham Village pre-wedding shoot and my own guided tour.

I’m thoroughly looking forward to their wedding in this beautiful part of our country.
